Toward the end of the completion of the project, I ran into an unforeseen technical issue where my entire filter stopped working. Nothing was changed since the last time I opened the project, but the basic functionality of Effecthouse stopped working for this specific project. Although I reached out to the Tiktok Help Center, they were not very fast in their response.
Despite these challenging circumstances, I luckily had a backup project that I saved after I created the basic functionality of the filter. This did not have a proper reset function or assets connected, but everything else was functioning correctly. I was extremely glad that I kept a backup, and it saved me hundreds of hours’ worth of work. I heard back from the TikTok help team over a week after the incident, and I had already submitted the filter at that point.
I have not heard back from TikTok about the approval of the filter, but it is still within a couple of days that it will take for the filter to be registered so I will continue to keep an eye out.
